Beautiful Scottish river and mountains

We’ve had a good three and a bit weeks of school holidays here and the boys are bracing themselves to go back tomorrow. It’s mainly been about running free in the wilds of Scotland, so returning to the London term time routine will come as a bit of a change. It always amazes me how quickly they spring back into it. I can’t wait to get back into my shed. I have a lovely run of markets coming up and am really excited to start making for them. The first is this very Saturday at Maple Road Market. The line up looks really exciting and I’m looking forward to tasting Andrew’s Smokehouse’s offerings and seeing what treasures Sannes Vintage Finds brings along, as well as checking out all the other delicious and fun looking stalls.

The next market after that is Grown and Thrown at the Big Penny Social on the 21st May. This has more of a houseplant leaning so I’m going to try and build up my plant pot offering before then which will be a really fun challenge. I will also take along a bunch of my current collection so there should be a nice variety to my stall and a slightly different offering to normal. Other than that, this month will see me working on a few commissions, one of which is for ceramic bottles. I have a hunch that might be one of the trickiest forms I’ve made to date, so which this space for any updates….plenty of opportunity for blooper content coming my way I believe. My mantra for this one might have to be the good old ‘if at first you don’t succeed, try, try and try again’. I can already feel my blood pressure rising at the thought. I will get there!
